Utah Non-resident permit class

**This class will expand the state reciprocity your Virginia resident permit provides. Changes to the current map have been proposed by incoming state legislators. ** The class runs approximately 4 hours and includes your application to apply for a Utah Non-Resident Concealed Firearm Permit and the envelope to mail it in. $65

You MUST have your Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit. You will need to get fingerprints done, and a passport photo to include with your application. You have one year from the date of this class to apply for your Utah Concealed Firearms Permit using this application.

Red Dot Fundamentals

Aimed at shooters with some experience, this class teaches the proper setup and use of red dot sights, including common mistakes to avoid. Participants are expected to bring their own firearms equipped with red dot sights. LOCATION IS MT CRAWFORD

Private Range Session - Your Guns or Mine

One hour of personal instruction on the range, utilizing student-owned gun for $50/hour per individual, or instructor-owned guns and ammo for $85/hour per individual. Email for discounted rates for couples.

This one-on-one session is a great opportunity to train with your gun, or shoot a variety of the instructor's guns to find what you like (or don't like) before making an investment. I will provide the guns and 50 rounds of ammo. In either session, I will ensure the basics of grip and stance so that you have an honest feel for the gun while using proper techniques. Eye and ear protection required. Range days: Thursdays, Fridays, and some Saturdays. Email to set up a time that fits your schedule.

Intro to Defense - Part A

This class will teach defensive fundamentals including point shooting and presenting from the holster. Your instructor will guide you through your body's natural reactions, and prepare you to use those reactions to your advantage. This is a live-fire class. $90

Drills Include: Safety, Comfort, Competency Concepts, Medical, Extend-Touch-Press, sighted and unsighted fire, presentation from the holster, and other drills. Intro to Defense - Part B

Continuation from Intro to Defense - Part A. Students must show evidence of completing Part A before enrolling in Part B. Live fire class. $90

This mini class will continue to prepare you for carrying a firearm in in the real world. Your instructor will guide you through your bodies natural reactions, and prepare you to use those reactions to your advantage. Students will review Safety, Comfort, Competency Concepts, Medical, Extend-Touch-Press, Balance of Speed and Precision, Emergency Reload, and Presentation from the Holster learned in Part A. This course will include Lateral Movement, Facing Drill, Stroll Drill, and other movements as time allows. This is a live-fire course. LOCATION IS WEYERS CAVE

USCCA Defensive Shooting Fundamentals - Level 2

For the defensive shooter, build life-saving skills by training in real-life scenarios. This is a live-fire class. Must have completed DSF Level 1. Email us for registration link. $140

Build further on the techniques introduced in the Intro to Defense Parts A & B courses. Focus on "Training For Real-Life Scenarios." This course guides the shooter through skill-building drills, teaching techniques that can mean the difference between living and dying in a real world defensive situation. Must show proof of completing DSF Level 1.

USCCA Concealed Carry & Home Defense Certified Instructor

In this 2-day course, we are going to cover a LOT of information to help prepare you to take on the role of USCCA Certified Instructor. Live fire qualification is required. This training takes place in Martinsville, VA. $597
